Dear Friends:

 

Gopal Panda, owner of Rainbow Liquors, 141 Broadway, Long Branch, NJ and myself have joined forces in a legal battle against eminent domain abuse.

 

Our Lawyer filed on behalf of our respective corporations and individually.

 

We have challenged the ordinance passed on February 28, 2006, which allows eminent domain in this location.

 

In addition we have sued the developer, the city, the elected officials and the state for initiating the statutes that would permit such takings.

 

The developer has retain the legal services of The Wilenz Firm.

 

We are going to need to raise the money necessary to litigate this properly.  As I understand it, our case is unique not so much because we are testing the anti -- trust areas of these matters, but that we actually named the state of New Jersey as a defendant as a result of the authority it has given our local governments.
